Law Offices of Braid Pezzaglia is a proud sponsor of Morgan Autism Center’s first annual Move-for-MAC move-a-thon. The Morgan Autism Center (MAC) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit based in San Jose that has served the Bay Area since 1969. MAC works with students and adults significantly impacted by autism and other developmental disabilities.
It serves as a non-public school for students, providing individualized, educational services to 68 students in more than 30 school districts throughout Santa Clara County, Alameda County, and San Mateo County. MAC also has an Adult Program, a day program that provides continued learning and activities to 50 clients aged 22 to 60.
What Is the Move-for-MAC Move-a-Thon?
Move-for-MAC is a virtual fundraiser and autism awareness event for Morgan Autism Center. Students, clients, families, staff, and supporters will walk, bike, swim, and move for MAC.
Since COVID-19, MAC has had to shift all of its in-person support and resources to an online model. During this unprecedented time, MAC’s needs of technology and safety for its programs are ever-evolving. Funds from the move-a-thon will support its specialized programs for both children and adults with autism.
The move-a-thon started on September 12 and runs through September 26. It is not too late to join!
